Lapsang Souchong may be one of the most unique of all unusual teas. Lapsang souchong is smoked over pinewood, which results in a very strong smoky note. This tea creates a smooth, distinguished finish with a lasting impression. This black tea is originally from the Wuyi region of the Chinese province of Fujian. Because the larger-leaf varieties have less caffeine than other black teas, Lapsang Souchong makes a popular choice for evening consumption. Many comments have been made that you either truly love the taste or hate it, a tea that definitely takes some time to adjust to. Try this smoky tea with milk for a smooth and creamy addition.

Ingredients: Lapsang Souchong Black tea.

Brewing Tips:  Lapsang Souchong tea should be made with water brought to a rolling boil (205-212° F). Using one teaspoon of loose leaf tea for each cup.

This tea should be steeped for 4-5 minutes. Remove the leaves once the brewing time is reached
