Lapsang Souchong may be one of the most unique of all unusual teas. Lapsang souchong is smoked over pinewood, which results in a very strong smoky note. This tea creates a smooth, distinguished finish with a lasting impression. This black tea is originally from the Wuyi region of the Chinese province of Fujian. Because the larger-leaf varieties have less caffeine than other black teas, Lapsang Souchong makes a popular choice for evening consumption. Many comments have been made that you either truly love the taste or hate it, a tea that definitely takes some time to adjust to. Try this smoky tea with milk for a smooth and creamy addition.

Ingredients: Lapsang Souchong Black tea.

Brewing Tips:  Lapsang Souchong tea should be made with water brought to a rolling boil (205-212° F). Using one teaspoon of loose leaf tea for each cup.

This tea should be steeped for 4-5 minutes. Remove the leaves once the brewing time is reached

Decant and enjoy!

Welcome to The TeaKitchen—where tea transforms from a simple sip into a vibrant path to wellness and bold flavors. Born from the idea that tea nourishes both body and spirit, we curate premium loose leaf teas sourced globally, inspiring mindful moments and unlocking nature's hidden health perks.

Why loose leaf over bags? Tea bags often hide dusty remnants that brew bitter and bland. Loose leaves, however, deliver full-bodied aromas, intense tastes, and peak levels of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals—ditching the microplastics and additives for pure, superior steeps that truly uplift your health.

Dive in with us—every brew at The TeaKitchen steps you closer to peak health and real flavor. Let's steep together!
