Mount Kenya Black is a classic black tea grown on a small farm at the foot of Mount Kenya. Rich and full bodied with a pungent astringency and juicy brisk character, our Mountain Kenya tea offering is sourced from central Kenya’s Michimikuru Tea Estate. This region of Kenya is comprised of sprawling tea bushes that spread out across the land as far as the eye can see.
When brewed, this larger leaf tea selection has a bright liquor and a crisp finish with just a hint of that juniper note that is characteristic of good Kenyan teas. The flavor profile of this tea is smooth, easy-going.
Brewing Tips: Mountain Kenya tea should be made with water brought to a rolling boil (205-212° F). Using one teaspoon of loose leaf tea for each cup.
This tea should be steeped for 4-5 minutes. Remove the leaves once the brewing time is reached
