On first opening this tea, you’ll experience the Prickly Pear first and foremost. But on second smell, look past the first sweet notes and look for the dry scent of a blooming desert. A slightly sweet and dry herb smell that captures the heart of the desert just after a spring rain. Prickly Pear, a cactus fruit native to the American Southwest, has a delicate, soft flavor that shines against the smooth, rich backdrop of our Young Hyson Green Tea. All of our Prickly Pear is harvested "Free Range" by Maya Tea staff and harvested in house, ensuring an authentic Arizona experience. This tea serves wonderfully hot, and creates a beautiful iced tea to sip on those warm, summer afternoons.

Ingredients: Young Hyson Green Tea, Wildcrafted Prickly Pear Fruit Pieces (Prickly Pear Fruit, Rice Flakes), All Natural Flavor, All Natural Flavor and Safflower Petals.

Brewing Tips: Prickly Pear Green tea should be made with water brought to 150 to 160° F. Using one teaspoon of loose leaf tea for each cup.

This tea should be steeped for 4-5 minutes. Remove the leaves once the brewing time is reached

Decant and enjoy!
